Matteo Renzi OMRI served as Prime Minister of Italy from February 2014 to December 2016. During his leadership, he represented Italy at three G7 and three G20 summits and held the Presidency of the European Union in the second half of 2014. Prior to his role as Prime Minister, he was Mayor of Florence.
As Prime Minister, he spearheaded the organization of Expo 2015, a landmark global event that played a key role in elevating Milan’s international profile. Since 2018, he has served as a Senator of the Italian Republic and has held a teaching position at Stanford University – Florence.
Senator Renzi is the author of nine books on politics, with cumulative sales of 900,000 copies, and commands a social media audience of over five million followers across various platforms.
In 2024, he was appointed Senior Advisor at the Tony Blair Institute. He also serves on the advisory boards of several international funds, offering strategic insight across areas such as geopolitics, defense, artificial intelligence, healthcare, and the “Made in Italy” initiative. In Saudi Arabia, he is a member of the FII board and contributes to the advisory boards of AlUla and NEOM.
