Sarantis Chlamydas, Ph.D.

Sarantis Chlamydas, Ph.D. is a scientist, academic, and industry leader specializing in multi-omics, biomarker discovery, and aging research. He is an Assistant Professor at the University Research Institute of Athens (URI) and a Lecturer at College of Global Longevity Science (CGLS), where he teaches and enables research on proteomics, aging biology, and systems medicine, with a focus on applying multi-omics approaches to aging and longevity science.
He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Evolution and Genetics from the University of Bari and the Max Planck Institute, followed by postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics, where he studied cell cycle regulation and epigenetics, key processes in aging and age-related diseases.
Alongside his academic career, Sarantis serves as Director of Scientific Affairs at Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading initiatives to integrate high-throughput proteomics into aging research, biomarker discovery, clinical trials, and diagnostics.
His research and industry collaborations focus on identifying biomarkers of aging, longevity, and age-related diseases, working with pharmaceutical companies, research consortia and academic institutions.
